Child and Babysitter Safety Class

Participants will learn skills involved in caring for infants, toddlers and young children.
Participants will learn skills involved in caring for infants, toddlers, and young children. Starting your own business, emergency procedures, taming the tots, when a stranger knocks, diapering, feeding, and sleep time are just a few of the topics to be covered. CPR and some basic first aid techniques are also included in the course. Participants ages 11 and older qualify for a 2-year Babysitter Safety certification card upon successful completion of required skills. Students will participate in American Heart’s “Friends and Family” CPR program. This is not a CPR certification course; it is a CPR awareness course. Students will receive a course completion card.
Student more than 15 minutes late will not be permitted into the class, please be on time. Taught by Advantage First Aid Training and Safety, LLC. As experienced Firefighters, Paramedics, EMTs, and other highly qualified professionals, these instructors will give your child the skills to be a confident and prepared babysitter. Bring a snack or bag lunch; students will be given a 30 minute supervised lunch break. A material fee of $20 is payable to instructor at start of the class. CASH ONLY PLEASE. Parent/guardian must bring the student to classroom and sign them in and out. Please be on time.
