Tardy Policy
School attendance is important because scholars who regularly attend school are more likely to excel academically. Regular attendance helps facilitate a positive and communical learning environment between scholars and teachers. Every minute of school matters.
Because of this KPHS will be issuing consequences for unexcused tardy as a deterant in order to encourage on time class arrival and protect the learning enviornment for all scholars.
Consequences include warnings, parent contact, detention, in school suspension and referal to social worker/DHS.
After school detention for chronic and reoccuring tardys will be every Wednesday from 4-5pm. Families are responsible for providing transportation home from after school detention.
Please refer to the Student & Family Handbook below for additional details.
Perfect Attendance
To acknowledge and reward scholars who have exemplified and committed to excellence by attending school every day and contributed to a positive learning environment by having no significant behavior infractions, we have planned social gathering.
