Our staff-led Morale Team assures that all are aware of health benefits and time-off policies, serves as an “ear to the ground” on staff mental health and morale, and implements creative morale-building activities.

2021 Volunteer Impact by the Numbers

For the last 47 years, Volunteer Fairfax has been working to build the civic infrastructure needed to help nonprofits engage, train, and mobilize volunteers. VF’s mission is to lead, connect, and mobilize people and resources to build capacity for stronger communities. VF has nimbly reacted to the pandemic, the initial relief of a widely distributed vaccine, and then the uncertainty that has emerged from COVID-19 variants. While we have had to idle several signature programs due to CDC guidelines, our operations have been reconfigured, and staff time reallocated, to serve the community since the start of the pandemic.

Community Conversations come to CFNOVA's First-Ever Virtual Gala

Volunteer Fairfax will be one of three Build Back-Dream Forward Community Conversations grant recipients featured in CFNOVA’s 2021 Raise the Region being held virtually on Friday, October 8, 2021. CFNOVA has invited these grantees to tell the story of how the BB-DF initiative helped to leverage existing networks to engage the community in conversations to help advance economic mobility, promote racial justice and equity, and catalyze more inclusive systems of economic growth in Northern Virginia. Lorna Campbell Clarke, VF’s Director of Communications has taped a studio interview highlighting Volunteer Fairfax’s mission and work around building equity and addressing the impact of the Build Back-Dream Forward grant on the organization, community, and region.
