Cookie Bake-off
Thank you to the classes that entered the class cookie bake-off! There were some awesome entries from classes in elementary, junior high, and senior high! Our judges were absolutely stuffed full of cookies and sugar- thanks to Mr. Mohl and Mr. Christensen for volunteering to have a lunch of only cookies!! Our judges loved all the cookies and had very discerning palettes, judging down to mere decimal points, but the winning cookie was made by.......Mrs. Johnston's grade 8 class!! Congratulations!!
Grade 4-6 Hockey Academy
Grade 4-6 Hockey Academy will commence on Tuesday, November 21. This program will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:51 pm – 3:15 pm. Full approved hockey equipment will be required. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to improve their fitness and hockey skills while building character and improving mental agility. Students will learn about cooperation and teamwork and the importance of showing respect for others. Mr. Clint Mohl will be the teacher for this program.
This is an optional program for interested students (please note that students do not have to play hockey to participate but they will need full hockey equipment and basic skating skills). Students will leave the school at 1:51 pm and walk to the hockey arena (Mr. Mohl will haul equipment). Students will need to be picked up at the arena at 3:30 pm. If you are interested in your student participating in this program, please fill out a consent form (online or hard copy). If you have any questions or need help finding equipment, please do not hesitate to contact the school at 403-854-3642. Students will be required to keep their grades at an acceptable level and to behave appropriately to remain in the program.

Raising Digitally Responsible Youth
Safer Schools Together acknowledges the challenges of modern parenting, especially with the surge in technology and social media. To assist, they're offering access to their guide, "Raising Digitally Responsible Youth." Aimed at parents and caregivers, this guide provides insights into popular social media platforms, video games, and emerging trends that children might engage with. It includes practical tips, step-by-step instructions, and definitions for widely used apps like TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram. The best part? It's complimentary, allowing schools to share this valuable resource within their parent community for free!

EASY Way of accessing your child’s images online:
Lifetouch Photography is excited to announce the launch of a new way to access photos online.
After much safety and security testing, Lifetouch developed a way for families to access their child’s photo using their student ID number.
Go to our website at www.mylifetouch.ca, click on Student ID and follow the detailed instructions to view and order photos.
If you have any questions on this ordering process, please call the Lifetouch Customer Care Line at 1.866.457.8212 or access the live chat on our website, www.mylifetouch.ca
Parents can still access their photos online by using their child’s portrait ID and access code. By enabling the option of using your child’s student ID number, gives people another way to access photos if they lose their proof sheet.

Discounts and information directly to parents about photo days at your school when parents sign up for Lifetouch Rewards at my.lifetouch.ca
