We’re Having a Pumpkin Contest!
Cadott Elementary is hosting the family pumpkin contest again this year! Participation from all family members is encouraged. Each student from your family may enter a pumpkin. Please have your pumpkins to the area by the gym on Wednesday, October 30th at 8:15.
Your pumpkin will need to be set in a designated area. Feel free to drop your pumpkin off on Tuesday, October 29th during the Monster Mash. The monster mash is at the High School, but the doors by the elementary gym will be open to drop off pumpkins. There will be an area for the funniest pumpkins, the scariest pumpkins and the most original pumpkins. This year there is a new category that has you create a pumpkin that matches your favorite book. The form below needs to sit very close to your pumpkin. Please make arrangements to pick up your pumpkin before 3:30 on Wednesday, October 30th. Have fun!

Please judge my pumpkin in the following category:

“Banana Splits Groups” (Kindergarten-6th grade)
Is your child a member of either a single parent or stepfamily household? Has he or she experienced family changes due to separation, divorce, or other life circumstances? If you think it would be beneficial for your child to talk about special concerns relating to family changes, consider having him or her join “Banana Splits.”
As part of our educational curriculum at Cadott Elementary, any student (grades k-6) may participate in small guidance groups. “Banana Splits” groups will be starting the week of October 29. These groups, each made up of about eight students, will meet once a week during a lunch, recess, or teacher approved time. The groups will run six to eight weeks.
The purpose of “Banana Splits” is to provide a nonjudgmental atmosphere for kids to explore positive ways of coping with change. Mrs. Manier, our school counselor, will be facilitating these groups.
If you are interested in having your child participate in “Banana Splits,” please complete and return the attached form to your child’s teacher, or email the form to manierd@cadott.k12.wi.us.
