Step 1: Go to the Correct Website
Step 2: Enter Your Username and Password
Your username is your student ID number.
Your password is your legal first name (all lowercase) followed by the last 3 digits of your student ID number.
Example:
Student's ID number is 1234567
Student's legal first name is Jonathan
Password would be: jonathan567
How do you find your student ID number?
Great question!
For Elementary students, you can find your student ID number by going to your profile in your Online School.
High School students can find their student ID number by clicking on their Graduation Plan in their Online School.
Learning Coaches can look up their student's ID number through their Learning Coach account as well.
Now that you have found your student ID number, you can log in!
Step3: Select the Assessment You Would Like to Take First
Everyone (with the exception of Kindergartners) will take 2 assessments:
- 1st through 11th graders will all take Math
- Kindergartners and 1st graders will all take Early Literacy
- 2nd through 11th graders will all take Reading
Step 4: Select Your Class
Step 5: Begin Your Assessment
The first time you take each test, it will start with three practice questions. After answering at least two correctly, it will move on to the actual questions. Generally, you will have between 1 ½ - 3 minutes to answer each question. A small clock will appear at the top of the screen as a 30 second warning. You should just pick an answer within that time or else it will move on to the next question. While pencil and paper may be used, no calculators should be allowed. If a calculator is needed for higher level math questions, it will appear on the screen. Your English and Math teachers will provide you with a report of your results (homeroom teacher for Elementary students).
You will experience some questions you don’t know the answer or time may run out before you can get an answer – and that’s ok! Just do your best!
What If I Need to Stop In the Middle of an Assessment?
Not a problem!
To Stop (submit) or pause a test, select STOP TEST in the upper-right corner of the screen. Stopping a test will log you out of the program and you will be asked to log back in to take another test. If you pause a test, you must go back and finish it within 7 days.
To RESUME a paused test, you will need to enter the password: ORVA
Step 6: After Completing Your First Assessment, Log Back In and Take the Other One
