Teacher Spotlight: Mrs. Natalie Evans

Every week we will shine a spotlight on one of our very own Hometown Staff members. This week we will meet Mrs. Natalie Evans.

How long and what grades have you taught?

This is my 17th year teaching Art in District 123. I have taught at Sward, Kolmar, Hometown, and Hannum Schools.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?

If I could travel anywhere, I would travel to Europe to see the famous masterpieces of all the great artists located in the Louvre in Paris, as well as all the beautiful artwork and architecture in Italy. I love art history and love to teach about all the famous artists and their work to all my kindergarten through fifth grade students!

What is the best thing about working at Hometown?

The best thing about working at Hometown School are the children! I love to teach them art and see their creativity shine and the pride in their faces when they create something beautiful!

What is your favorite food?

I would have to say my favorite foods are pasta and seafood!

Who is someone you admire and why?

I admire my parents the most because they are both so kind, thoughtful, hard working people. They have a strong faith and belief in God and would do anything for their family. They are wonderful people who set an excellent example on how to be a good person. I am lucky to follow their example and have such good role models.

If you see Mrs. Evans around the school make sure you say hello!!
