Welcome Back!
I am so excited to have all the students back here at FES! The summer break was nice, but it's been great to see everyone, hear about summer adventures, welcome some new faces, and see how much everyone has grown. There is some important information in this newsletter, so please read through it and let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Leo greets students
Leo the Lion greets students at the first PRIDE assembly of the year.
Grade 1&2 Observe
Grade 1 & 2 students watch as a caterpillar builds its chrysalis right before their eyes!
Kindergarten
Kindergarten students explore math manipulatives.
Pick Up Patrol
Please check your child's plans!
In order to make sure we have the most accurate after school plans for your child, please make sure that you log into Pick Up Patrol and set your default plans. Then, as your plans change, please make sure you update it. It makes dismissal times much smoother and then you don't have to write a note or call the office. A paper came home yesterday about signing up, but if you need some assistance, please contact the office. Thanks so much for your cooperation!
Has your child outgrown their FES T-shirt?
If your child has outgrown their FES PRIDE t-shirt, you can exchange it for a larger size. Please send your child to school with their t-shirt and a note telling their teacher what size you would like and we will exchange it. If your child has lost their t-shirt, please send in a note and let your teacher know that and we will replace it. All students new to FES will get a t-shirt when the order comes in (hopefully early next week).
FES Handbook
In order to save a few trees, I am sending out the handbook via email and in this newsletter. It is also available on our website. If you would like to have a paper copy of the handbook, please let me know and we will send a copy home with your student.
After School Care
Boys and Girls Club partner with FES, HES, & GES
The before and after school care is up and running! For before school care, students can be dropped off at Greenfield Elementary School as early as 6:30 am (they will be transported to FES by 8:40). At the end of the school day, students are transported to GES where they can be picked up as late as 6:30 pm. This program is very reasonably priced and there are 3 & 5 day options available. The care will also be available on Professional Development days as well as School Vacations for an additional fee. Please see the attached enrollment form for more information or call the school.
