Congratulations to our Science Olympiad team for competing in the state competition! Tiyani Zhu and Allison Sidley placed 4th in Fermi Questions. Allison Sidley and Jennah Dabrowski placed 7th in Chemistry Lab. Jennah Dabrowski and Anais Flores Sanabria placed 8th in Anatomy and Physiology. Noah Brown and David Benjo placed 8th in It's About Time. Tiyani Zhu and Noah Brown placed 12th in Flight and 12th in Trajectory.

Seniors! You must click here to complete a final transcript request. This is mandatory for every senior, even if you do not plan to continue your education after high school graduation.

2023/2024 Schedules

Current 8th-11th grade students have one final opportunity to make course request changes for their 2023/2024 schedules. Course request changes can be made May 1-12, 2023 by clicking here. May 12th is the absolute last day we will accept any course request changes for 23/24 schedules. No schedule changes will be made any time after May 12th, including the first two weeks of school as was previously allowed.

Summer School

Summer School 2023 will be in person at Grovetown High School, Monday-Thursday, June 1st-29th. Students may take up to three classes for remediation only. A seat in a class will not be held for a student until the student registers and pays. Registration begins on May 1st and ends on May 26th. Beginning on May 1st, please click here to register. Each class will cost $25, payable through RevTrak. Beginning on May 1st, please click here to pay. Please contact your school counselor if you need financial assistance for summer school.


Tentative daily schedule:

1st period: 7:30-9:30 a.m.

2nd period: 9:40-11:40 a.m.

3rd period: 11:50 a.m.-2:20 p.m.

**Lunch (concession style $1-5) is served during 3rd period for 3rd period students only

A lunch: 11:50 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

B lunch: 12:20-12:45 p.m.


A maximum of two days of absence per class is allowed; no exceptions. Prior approvals are not granted and exams are not given early. A student will be withdrawn with no refund on the third day of absence.


The Transportation Department will provide a schedule of pick-up/drop-off times and locations. For questions regarding bus transportation, please contact the Transportation Department at 706-541-2729.

SGA Elections

If you are interested in running for an SGA Office, please join the Google Classroom (code sf22x4k) to see what it is all about and the offices and positions available. SGA offers great opportunities to get involved with your school, create and help run school-wide events, gain leadership skills, and organize volunteer events for your classmates. It is a time commitment, but it is worth it for those who get involved and stick with it!


Election materials are due by 3:00 p.m. May 5th. Campaign Week is May 8th-14th and elections are May 15th!

GA Tech Dual Enrollment

Georgia Tech offers online dual enrollment options for math and computer science. The application for fall dual enrollment classes will be open May 15-June 15, 2023. Please click here to learn more and apply.

AU Health Career Fair

Graduating seniors are invited to attend AU Health's Career Fair on May 5, 2023 from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. The fair will be held in the Lee Auditorium at AU Health at 1120 15th Street, Augusta, Georgia 30912. Please call 706-721-7482 or email aroberson@augusta.edu for more information.

Camp Allstars - Volunteers Needed!

The Department of Special Services needs volunteers for Camp Allstars! As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work with children who have special needs by playing games and partnering with them for all camp activities. Camp will run 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, June 5th-22nd. Transportation is provided. Please see your school counselor to apply. Applications are due by May 10th.

Camp Swe4t

Columbia County Community Connections will offer a summer work experience for teens June 1-30, 2023. Click here to learn more and register by May 19th.

Holocaust Studies Virtual Summer Workshop

Kennesaw State University will host a virtual summer workshop for Holocaust Studies. The workshop will run from noon until 4:00 p.m. June 26th-29th. Click here to learn more and apply.

Scholarship Spotlight

Students in 10th, 11th, and 12th grades, you are eligible to win up to $40,000 in scholarship money each month now through February of your graduation year. To enter the scholarship drawing, you simply complete tasks like starting a career list, building a college list, starting a scholarship search, etc. Click here to learn more.


The Mosbey Scholarship and the Bryan Scholarship are available to incoming freshmen at UGA and Georgia Tech. Applications are due by May 10, 2023. Click here to learn more.


The Columbia County Foundation for Children is offering two types of scholarships to Columbia County residents who are under the age of 23. Applications are due by May 12, 2023. Click here to learn more.
