PICTURE DAY SEPTEMBER 25
Something's going around....
We've had quite a few kids in third grade come to school with cold/allergy symptoms, some of which include a fever. Please make sure your child feels well enough to come to school, and if your child has a fever, keep him or her home for at least 24 hours to avoid contagion.
We will always defer to our fabulous Nurse Amy for the best of care!

Please help your child know about rhyme! Make up your own poems! We use a lot of sensory language and imagery in poems. Ask your child to give you sensory words.
Social Studies - Communities, Past and Present
Tell your children stories about how things were when you were their age! Internet, phone, TV, toys, school, etc!
Reminder from Mrs. Walls and Ms. Marshall, third graders are reading to learn, not learning to read. Be sure your kiddo is picking books on their reading level.

A Note From Nurse Amy
If you have students bringing glass water bottles to school, please have them keep them in their backpacks that day and ask that they do not bring them back. This is a safety concern as they get dropped, broken and have the potential to injure another student or teacher.
I realize some parents have issues with plastic containers, but there are BPA free containers and stainless steel is an option and safer for everyone.
