November News & Notes

Meadowview's Monthly Newsletter

Great Article!

This article talks about what skills students will need in the future. Surprisingly enough, empathy, and teamwork are top of the list! And ones we work on every day here at Meadowview!

Parent Teacher Conferences

You've received a separate email, and paper copy about Parent/Teacher Conferences and scheduling. Parent teacher conferences are a great time to connect with your child’s teachers to find out how your child is doing academically, socially, and emotionally. Please be sure to sign up online for a conference with your child's homeroom teacher. You may also want to sign up for a conference with your child's math teacher.

Specials teachers, Art, Music, and Physical Education teachers do not have online scheduling. They have open door conferences, which means they are available for walk in conferences whenever you are available. However, if you would like to schedule a conference, you may contact them by phone or email. Our phone number here is 630.969.2390.

Please note, our Art teacher Ms. Jacobs will be at Meadowview only on Monday, November 19th. She will be at Goodrich on Tuesday, November 20th.

Walk-a-Thon Assembly

Our Walk-A-Thon assembly included our mascot, Wilson! Wilson was there to help celebrate the students and the great job they ALL did in raising money for the PTO. Every single penny raised from the Walk-A-Thon will go right back to the students, families and staff of Meadowview! For example, the Pizza Party we had to celebrate was paid for by the funds raised!

Wilson helped distribute the certificates and prizes to the classrooms, teachers, and students who earned the top prizes. Students in the audience were recognized for earning T shirts, water bottles, and 5 Below gift cards! Way to Go Team Meadowview!
