What are the 4 C's of the 21st Century Skills?

The 4 C's are collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity. Our STEMS classrooms have been working hard practicing our 4 C's. They have been collaborating to work together to reach a goal. Communicating by sharing ideas, thoughts, and solutions for the task at hand. They have been using critical thinking skills when working to solve problems in a different way. Last but not least, they have been showing creativity when using their imagination to come up with a new way to complete a task at hand or to make something new to solve the same task.

Look at our new MAKERSPACE!!!

I am super excited to announce that we have a MAKERSPACE in our related arts schedule this year. Mrs. Carrington is doing a wonderful job creating challenges that use the 4 C's in small groups. Over the next few months, she will be starting to introduce coding and the Engineering Design Process as well. We are so excited to see all the fun lessons she has planned this year!
Big picture

Safety Is Our Top Priority!

STEMS teachers have worked hard to ensure their classrooms are clean and sanitized. Please be assured that NSE faculty and staff are doing all we can to keep everyone safe and socially distanced. We realize that everyone must do their part in making sure we stay healthy.
Parents, We Need Your Feedback!

Please complete this brief survey to share any concerns or suggestions you have in regards to classroom communities and coming to school face to face.

Magnet Fee Payment Reminder

You may remember that as part of the magnet agreement, all magnet students are charged an additional $25 fee. This fee helps us provide STEMS classroom and instructional materials. It also helps to offset the cost of field studies (virtual). If you haven't done so, please take the time to pay your child's fee online through Parent Portal.
