Roses by OutKast (Censored Version)
Jane traveled to the Bingley house, but became ill after her journey. She is invited to stay in order to feel better, and Elizabeth walks to the house to see Jane. She then meets Caroline, Mr. Bingley's sister, and discovers that she is a snobby and judgemental woman. OutKast sings, "Caroline …you need a golden calculator to divide the time it takes to look inside and realize that real guys like real down to the Mars girls." In the novel, Caroline is wealthy and she tries to impress Darcy by pretending to be interested in the activities he likes, similar to the woman in the song.

Don't You Want Me by The Human League
This song relates to when Elizabeth denies Mr. Collins' proposal, and he thinks she will eventually come around and accept his offer; this, however, is definitely not the case. When Elizabeth refuses Mr. Collins' marriage proposal, he believes that she is playing hard to get. He does not understand how a woman would reject him; he has wealth and social status that many women seek. The lines, "Don't, don't you want me? You know I can't believe it when I hear that you won't see me," relate to how Mr. Collins is questioning how Elizabeth doesn't want to marry him.

True Colors by Cyndi Lauper
This song relates well to when Elizabeth reads the letter Darcy gave her. When she looks at this letter, she realizes that she made assumptions about Mr. Darcy too quickly. She thought poorly of him before truly getting to know him first. She also recognizes that she made a mistake about Wickham's character; he isn't the truthful and kind man she thought he was. However, she jumped to conclusions about both of these men without spending quality time with either of them.

My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson
Mr. Darcy proposes to Elizabeth, and she accepts this proposal because her feelings have changed and she wants to marry him immediately. Kelly sings, "Guess this means you take back all you said before/Like how much you wanted anyone but me." This song goes along with this event because Elizabeth had said that she would never marry Darcy, but her feelings evolved over the course of the novel and they fall deeply in love with each other.
