Purple UP!

Purple UP Colts!

Friday, April 21, 2017

Living in the Hampton Roads community, you know how much an important role the US Military plays in our everyday lives. Whether its the celebration of a homecoming at Naval Station Norfolk or the subtle hum of jet engines, the Military is all around us.

As you are also aware {and many of you very personally}, it is not only our service members who sacrifice for our country's freedoms, their families pay a price as well. Birthdays, graduations, and the simpleness of everyday life are often missed. As way to honor and show our support for our military connected students and their families, join us in celebrating Purple Up! day on Friday, April 21 at Green Run Elementary!

Also, in recognition of Month of the Military Child, military-connected students at Green Run Elementary will be recognized at a ceremony to be held on Friday, April 21, from 9:00-9:30 a. m.

Students will receive a certificate in recognition of their contributions and sacrifices they continue to make as their parents/ guardians serve our country.
