Looking Ahead with Camp Kesem UGA

We are thankful for your support & excited for our future!

We Made Magic

We are overwhelmed with gratitude to announce the success of our annual fundraiser, Make the Magic. Thanks to our Make the Magic Coordinator Mozzie's tireless effort and your generosity, we raised nearly $32,000 that evening. That outpouring of support will directly provide 64 children with a life-changing week with Camp Kesem UGA. We extend our thanks to all who were able to attend, all who gave, and all who spread the word about our wonderful organization. We made magic.

Magic to Come

Get excited and mark your calendars for the wonderful events and opportunities ahead! From our annual 5K to counselor selection and a countdown to Camp Kesem 2016, we are overjoyed to spread more joy with our community this season.

Professional Staff for Summer 2016

As we get ready for Camp Kesem 2016, we are in need of a Mental Health Professional and Nurses to volunteer for our camp session. These professional staff positions are crucial to ensuring the safety and well-being of our campers, and camp cannot happen without these staff in place!

We need our supporters to spread the word about our needs, and are asking each of you to share the following needs with your networks. A couple great ways to spread the word include:

  • Sharing this with you or your child’s doctor’s office

  • Sharing this with the guidance counselor at your children’s school

  • Posting this on your Facebook page/twitter, etc

  • Sending this to 5 close friends, who might also be willing to spread the word within their own networks!

Position descriptions and application details are included below. We prefer that nurses and mental health professionals spend the entire week at camp, but if you find folks who would be interested in doing a half week, that may work out for us as well if we can find another person to cover the rest of the week.

Thank you so much--please contact uga@campkesem.org with any referrals or questions!

Countdown to Camp

As we look ahead to our fifth summer, where we will serve 120 children at TWO week-long sessions, we are humbled by the generosity and selflessness that helped us get here.

With our Volunteer Coordinators at the helm, we have selected the bold, passionate and super fun college-student volunteers that will become Camp Kesem counselors this summer! Stay tuned for exciting counselor spotlights on our social media accounts.
