Results from our 2019-2020 SASPRA Membership Survey indicate the group would like to meet for SASPRA Meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. Please save the dates for our upcoming SASPRA Meetings:
February 12, 2019 - North East ISD
March 18, 2019 - Somerset ISD
April 8, 2019 - Southside ISD
May 13, 2019 - Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD
June 10, 2019 - Edgewood ISD

Attire and other Notes:
Monday: Casual attire
- Monday Meatball Scramble - break is substantial for lunch if they arrive with no time to eat lunch. Break is at 2:15.
- If possible, plan to arrive at #TSPRA20 in time to enjoy break with your rookie from 2:15-2:45 and begin the Goose Chase missions
- Invite your rookie to attend the “meet and greet” reception with you as this is the official kick-off for the conference! You will have a free beverage ticket to offer them if the two of you show up for the initial meeting between conference caddies and rookies at 4:00.
Tuesday: District Day
- Wear a favorite district or school shirt (jeans are appropriate)
- Explain that the Tuesday general session includes a keynote speaker, member recognitions and presentation of professional awards.
- “Grab and Go” breakfast tacos will be available while supply lasts.
- There will be designated vendor viewing in the morning (with coffee) and in the afternoon. The afternoon break includes food.
- Lunch is on your own. The website has a list of nearby eateries. Lunch is scheduled from 12:15 – 2:00 allowing sufficient time to leave the hotel if desired.
- Invite them to the Blackboard Welcome Reception and share how to get the beverage tickets at this event. This is only a one-hour event!
Wednesday: Sports Day + Crazy Socks
- Wear a favorite golf shirt or sports team shirt (jeans are appropriate) and crazy socks
- Caps will be provided by Peachjar so you may want to sport your caps
- Prizes will be given to the “best” crazy socks. Watch for more information on this.
- February 25, 2020, is Ash Wednesday. Meatless lunch options are available upon written request by February 17. Email request to info@tspra.org. A list of nearby churches is available at http://www.tspra.org/conferences-and-events/annual-conference/2020-conference-churches. We totally expect members to leave for Ash Wednesday services throughout the day.
- Explain the popular Roundtable session. There are 45 roundtables so study the list in advance because there is time to visit only four of them.
- There will be designated vendor viewing in the morning (with coffee) and in the afternoon with food.
- Explain that the President’s Luncheon is when the new president and officers are installed and that professional awards recipients are announced. Attendees will sit at rounds with ten per table.
- Star Awards Banquet o Business or Cocktail attire expected
- A reception takes place from 6:00-7:00 with complimentary beverages. Explain how to receive beverage tickets.
- Explain that photos are taken of Star Award recipients and members need to look professional as these photos are often shared at board meetings and in local newspapers
- There will also be a selfie-wall for photos that evening
- Intrado SchoolMessenger hosts an after-celebration complete with live band and dessert buffet (explain that dessert is not served with the meal and is part of the after-celebration). This event goes until 11:00 p.m.

- Star Awards Banquet requires an extra ticket ($75). Tickets may be available for purchase on site on a first-come-first-served basis. It is best to purchase tickets in advance to assure entry.
- Transportation from Sonesta Hotel will be provided for Star Awards Banquet. Watch for more information on this and announcements during the general sessions.
Thursday: #TSPRA20 #TSPRAconnect
- Wear the 2020 official TSPRA t-shirt to breakfast.
- Group photo is made that appears on the TSPRA Facebook page for a year.
- Get your 2020 t-shirt at the School Revenue booth beginning Monday afternoon; sizes available first-come, first-served.
- Explain that the General Membership Meeting is a business meeting to share TSPRA financials and an update on the state of the organization. If any bylaws changes are being proposed, voting takes place during this meeting.
- Everyone is encouraged to complete the paper evaluation. There will be a drawing at noon for a $100 HEB card
