Meadow Park News

Principal's Corner
Hello Meadow Park Families,
It's nearly time for conferences. On the evening of Wednesday, February 27th from 6:30 to 8:00 and then again all day and into the evening on Thursday, February 28th we will be meeting with families. We will be doing a similar setup to the fall and are using the same online system for signing up. If you haven't already, head to https://bit.ly/2RPDpVP to schedule your conference! Students will not be in school on either Thursday, February 28th or Friday, March 1st!
I want to say a special thank you to those of you who came to our Staff vs Students Hoops for Heart event last night at Meadow Park. Our game against the 8th graders came down to overtime and a 1 point win for the students. Congrats to a great group of players! I hear some of our competitive staff members are looking forward to a rematch. Just a rumor...
Make it a great week!
Jared Freeman
Principal

Students deposit coins and dollars in the advisory bins. Leadership students are assigned to collect bins and tally points daily. Pennies are negative points. Students can penny bomb other advisory classes if they would like!
The top advisory class in each grade level will win a donut party at the end of the month! Encourage your children to send those coins to school.
Forecasting for High School - Attention 8th Grade Families!
Beaverton, Sunset and Westview High Schools visited Meadow Park today to kick off the forecasting process for your child’s 9th grade year of high school! Students have been given forecasting forms to prepare for online forecasting that will take place at Meadow Park on Tuesday, March 5th.
If your child is attending Sunset, please review the Sunset Academic Program Planning Guide as you and your child fill out his or her forecasting sheet. This sheet does require your signature. We encourage all parents to attend Sunset’s Curriculum Night on Thursday, February 21st at 6:00pm. The Curriculum Night Agenda can give you more detailed information about this evening.
If your child is attending Beaverton, please review the Beaverton High School Academic Planning Guide as you and your child fill out his or her forecasting sheet. You can also access information on Beaverton High School Advanced Course Information. This sheet does require your signature (on back). We encourage all parents to attend Beaverton’s FUTURE YOU Family Night on Thursday, February 21st at 6:30pm.
If your child is attending Westview, please review the Westview Academic Planning Guide as you and your child fill out his or her forecasting sheet. This sheet does require your signature. We encourage all parents to attend Westview’s Curriculum Night, Spanish Version, on Thursday, February 21st at 6:00pm.
All forecasting forms are due back to your child’s Advisory teacher, at the latest, on Tuesday, February 26th. If they can get them in sooner - that is better. If your child will not be attending either high school, please still return his or her forecasting sheet with a written note explaining your situation. Plans do change, and we want schools to have forecasting information on file.
