School Closure - Independent Study

In seat instruction started today, and it was wonderful to see all of our students back on campus. Due to the closure during the past two weeks, we are sending home short term independent study contracts to be signed and returned no later than Friday, January 28, 2022. In order for students to receive attendance credit from 1/10/22-1/21/22, we will need to have these forms signed by parents, students, teachers and administrators. Teachers will work to collect assignments and complete pages 3-4. Attendance credit is based on student work completion. We encourage students and families to do their best with completing all assigned work on google classroom. If additional time is needed, please contact your child’s teacher/s directly to determine a reasonable amount of extended time to turn in the assignments.

We have been able to populate student data on the independent study contract. All that is needed is your signature on page 2 of the independent study contract. Please read the contract and sign and return to your child’s teacher as soon as possible. Teachers and staff will work diligently to account, collect, and follow up on the receipt of these contracts.

We appreciate your attention and prompt response to this documentation.

The Great Kindness Challenge

MES is participating in The Great Kindness Challenge. This is a week-long event that highlights being kind at school and in the community. It's simple to do, but can have wonderful effects at school. It's a challenge that started with one school in Carlsbad, CA, and now over 33,000 schools in 115 countries participate each year. Students and families are encouraged to complete as many kind acts as possible. Students received a checklist at school today. You can participate at home as well. For additional information, click here

This Friday as a culmination, we would like to encourage students and staff to have a spirit wear day. We will re do our Peace Day (Tie dye) and/or wear school colors or school spirit wear (Fun Run masks, blue/yellow, Husky Pup gear, tie dye etc.).

Let's make a difference this week and show each other kindness!
