New English Language Learning (ELL) Levels
The Hubbs Center used to offer ELL (English Language Learning) levels 1-6 , but that changed this summer, to better connect with the curriculum and the changing program needs. Some classes last year already combined two levels (ELL 2/3 or ELL 4/5, for example), so the change may not seem very different as we transition. The class names will be different, however.
The new ELL levels (offered this fall):
ELL A1 (similar to ELL 1)
ELL A (similar to ELL 2/3)
ELL B (similar to ELL 4/5)
ELL C (similar to ELL 6)
Most of these will be offered morning, afternoon and evening in-person and on Google Meet.
In-person ELL classes are 9:30-12:30 and 5:00-8:00p.m.
Google meet classes are 9:30-11:30am, 12:30-2:30pm and 6:00-8:00pm

These classes will be available this fall: Please contact an advisor for more information about times.

Come in and test at the Hubbs Center

Much of last year, we were only able to do online testing, however, we are now requesting students to test in-person now that the building is open. Please come in to test if you have never tested in the building, or if it has been a long time since you have tested in-person (you may retest if you have had more than 40 hours of instruction since your last CASAS or TABE test). If you are not sure if you should test, please ask you teacher or call the Hubbs Center (651) 290-4822.
