St Jude School
January 24, 2020
A Note From Fr. Joe
Dear Parents:
You, parents, who have your child enrolled at St. Jude, could write an article on this topic, and more competently than I. As Administrator (Pastor), I say this: St. Jude strives to prepare students for life, has a faculty that is passionate about the fields of study and Faith loves its students, trains its pupils to succeed in life urges them to reach out to others in service, stands for Christian values, and rejects behaviors that are incompatible with Catholic morality. That is why St. Jude is a good school.
Catholic education in the 21st century has changed. While Catholic schools in decades past were established to counter an anti-Catholic sentiment in a primarily Protestant society, contemporary Catholic schools stand as a beacon of Faith and of higher values in a society that has become secular-humanistic, permissive, apathetic and skeptical about religion. Therefore, St. Jude has a lot to offer.
As you visit (or re-visit) St. Jude School for Open House this Sunday, consider what is best for your son/daughter, and may God inspire you on this important choice that you are about the make regarding his or her future.
Fr. Joseph Scalco CSJ
Administrator
Weekly Update from Mrs. Hibler
Dear Parents:
Today we hosted a Better Together meeting for 90 teachers and administrators from the Cleveland Diocese. Grades 5-8 attended the All-County Mass at Elyria Catholic to launch Catholic Schools Week, and our hot lunch program returned, serving up chicken tenders! Also, second-quarter report cards are coming home today with your children.
Sunday, we host our Annual Open House and the Boy Scout's Pancake Breakfast returns in Carrabine. Stop by after Mass and take a tour, grab some breakfast, or maybe just some coffee. We are here from 10:00-1:00 and would love to see you.
Godspeed,
Mrs. Molly Hibler
