October 2018 RFES PTA News

Thank you for your support and for attending both Kona Ice and the Ice Cream Social, and for your membership and donations.

It has become a wonderful treat to have Kona Ice join us on the Friday of our first week back to school. There were long lines, but happy faces waited patiently for their icy treats. We've just received a check from Kona Ice that will be used to support our budgeted expenses.

We hope that you had a great time at the Ice Cream Social. Many thanks to our chairs, Kasey Schroeder and Marlo McIntosh, and the numerous volunteers that were willing to give their time. Thankfully, the Towson University Field Hockey team allowed our scoopers the option of enjoying the event with their family.

Lastly, a HUGE thanks to all those that have become members and participation in our direct donation campaign. If you haven't already done so, we are still accepting members and direct donations.

School Store OPENS on October 9, 2018

Please continue to send in your permission slips to allow your 4th graders to participate. If you are a parent and interested in helping out, please reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator at rfesptavolunteers@gmail.com

Yearbook Signing for former RFES students, now 6th graders at DMS: Tuesday, October 16, 2018

The yearbooks will be arriving soon and the 5th grade graduating class from 2018 is invited back to pick up their yearbook, catch up with friends and have some light refreshments. There will be a photo booth available for fun pictures and some teachers should be stopping in to the library to see their former students. The festivities start at 3:45 and will end at 4:30 p.m.

Please share this information with any of the RFES 5th graders that moved on to Dumbarton Middle School. A small number of yearbooks will be available for purchase.

If you know a child who moved away from the area, please let us know by sending an email to rfesptayearbook@gmail.com so we can track down the family and arrange distribution.
