Fox Family Focus
Week of January 23, 2022
Greetings Fox Families!
This is Anita Roane, your principal with this week’s announcements and reminders. It looks like we may have a promising week ahead with the weather. It will be great to have our foxes in the building each day.
As you know safety is a top priority for us. I want you to know we will have a Code Red drill this week to continue practicing safety habits with our students. In the upcoming weeks, we will also have a bus evacuation drill.
Families, I also want to follow up on Superintendent Straley’s message from earlier this week. As we await clarification concerning the conflicting wording in Executive Order 2 and Senate Bill 1303, we will continue with our current policies concerning masks at this time. We are expecting further information to be released in the near future, and we will update you as soon as it is received.
We also want to reiterate a request Governor Youngkin made on Friday, as he encouraged families to follow the guidelines put in place at their school division and to await clarification from the state. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our administrative team directly and we will be glad to speak with you.
We are excited to announce that we are now accepting Pre-School applications for the 2022 - 2023 school year. If your child will be 4 years old by September 30th, 2022 he/she may be eligible to enroll in our program. PreK application Day is Feb 16th. Call 540-603-9290 or visit preschool.lcps.k12.va.us to get your application started!
