Wilt or Grow
There is no such thing as status quo.
You either wilt or grow.
Read and grow from the information below.
Teacher Reflection Item
Facilitator of Learning vs. Teacher of Content
Which of these titles fits your instructional practice? Or, do both fit? Do you lean toward one more than the other? Why?
During Monday's PLC, we will analyze both practices in order to grow our own.
SEL Action Item (Second Six Weeks - Week 3)
SEL Activity: Appreciating Diversity-What I like about my neighbor (repeat of week 2...with a twist)
Students take turns sharing things they like or appreciate about a classmate. Focus on their use of language. Sometimes, our students don't have the language or vocabulary needed to express the positive they see in others. Our students tend to focus on physical appearance or easily recognizable actions such as "I like her because she plays with me." This week, let's give students a variety of sentence starters that focus on effort and characteristics of a good student. Help fill their word bank with words that recognize the value in learning.
