"We're Going Places!" - November 4th - November 8th

Adryan, Jeremiah, Mike, & Angel Earned Laser Tag w/ Mr. Cubias & Mrs. Moss for Progress on their BEEP Goals!
Here is our Roadrunner Weekly for the week of November 4th through November 8th. It was a spooky and spirited week in Roadrunner Country this week with Thursday's Costume Parade and our visit to Lincoln Meadows to share smiles with the senior citizens there! Some pictures can be found in the "Roadrunners in Action" section below.
This week, our community activity is McTeacher's Night on Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 PM. 20% of what is brought in comes back to our school and supports our Roadrunner Store where kids can cash in their BEEP cards. We hope you can join us, even if it's just a drive through visit. More details can be found below.
Also, remember, i-Ready is an important skill builder that our kids can access at school and at home. Our teachers try to build in time during the school day for some practice, but we also encourage your child to continue using it at home also as the program recommends a minimum of 45 minutes per subject, per week to help build math and ELA skills.
Lastly, please check out our staff websites to keep current on homework and class events.
Have a great week!
Roadrunners in Action! Our Visit to Lincoln Meadows!
First Street School McTeacher's Night
When: Wednesday, November 6, 2019
Where: Lincoln McDonald’s, 55 Lincoln Blvd. (near Lowe’s)
Please come and visit the teachers and staff as we work to earn money for First Street School. Funds raised this year will go towards purchasing items for the First Street School BEEP Store. All "teacher tip" money will be used to purchase supplies for the staff work room.
McDonald’s will donate 20% of all sales between 4:00-7:00PM to First Street School.
Thanks so much for your support!
Reminder About After School Enrichments
I just wanted to send out a reminder about some of the after school enrichments we are offering this year. The offerings below are through independent business that have contracted with us so that we can offer their programs on our campus. Financial assistance is often available if needed, but you’ll have to contact them directly. “Skills After School” soccer clinic began this past Monday (you can still sign up at a prorated cost), and Early Engineers and Firefly Art are scheduled to begin their next sessions soon, so be sure to get signed up if you’d like your student to participate. Click on the registration links below to learn more.
C.H.A.M.P.S. (formerly known as PTC) stands for "Committed to Honoring and Motivating Parents and Students". Parents play a vital role in helping to fundraise, plan school functions, and guide the direction of our school. See the flyers attached below for more information, and please contact Lisa Chandra at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
