NJSD Equity and Inclusion Audit Available to View
The Equity and Inclusion department conducted an equity audit in Spring of 2022. It is our hope that the review of this audit will create broader coalitions and engagement in identifying processes, programming, resources, and support that will help reduce gaps in achievement and enhance school experiences and success for all students. It is important to consider that this report provides a snapshot only and will likely inspire additional questions. Curiosity is a prerequisite to change and additional questions are an excellent starting point. The Neenah Joint School District thanks its staff, school board, families, and community for their on-going commitment to the success of all of our students.
After reading and reflecting on the report with an open-mind, you may fill out this Google form survey if there is a personal interest in engaging in further discussion in small groups. Please complete this survey by no later than Friday, October 21.
National School Lunch Week is Oct. 10-14
This week is National School Lunch Week! Thank you to the Food Service Department for coordinating menus, ordering, storing, prepping, cooking and serving NJSD students breakfast and lunch with a smile.
Who helps in the success of our breakfast/lunch program? It’s not just the staff in the Food Service Department. Thank you for the role that everyone in the district plays in supporting a nutritious breakfast and lunch for students. Thank you to the custodians who help supervise and clean, supervisors helping in the cafeteria, administrative assistants for helping share menus, educational assistants helping students with meal selection, teachers taking orders, parents and students, administrators' support and Chartwells partnership.
We see you working hard. Thank YOU!

Tickets are on sale now at rocketplayers.com or at the Pickard box office one hour prior to the show. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students (fee applies for online orders). Flu Shot Clinics Scheduled Across the District
Flu shot clinics are underway! Due to staffing, we had to combine schools in order to provide opportunities for each building. If your school's designated date does not work for you, you will see there are dates/times that are available to anyone at the District Health and Wellness Center later in the month. Please check out the Flu Clinic Flyer liked below for all information regarding dates, times, location and scheduling procedures. If you have any additional questions, please contact Sara Mercer. Health and Wellness Center Offers Influenza Information
With recent discussions on bronchitis and pneumonia, this is a good time to talk about another common respiratory illness: influenza. We often refer to influenza as the flu. For the purposes of this article, we’ll talk specifically about respiratory flu. (Stomach flu is a different illness.) Influenza is caused by influenza A or influenza B virus, and occurs in seasonal waves most commonly in the winter and early spring. As you’ve likely heard, influenza is a virus.
