Learning in 3-215
October Newsletter
October Fun!
October was a busy month in 3-215! We celebrated Spirit Week, Red Ribbon Week, and Halloween! We met our little kindergarten buddies in Ms. McKnight's class. We finished our study of map skills and geography and began our study of water and weather. In Math, we studied how to interpret data through graphs and charts. In Reading, we've been listening to Bunnicula and keeping track of plot and setting. In Writing, we've begun our personal narratives. Read on to find out more!
K buddies!
We helped our kindergarten buddies make a candy corn craft.
Making friends with our buddies!
All smiles!
Thank you, Ame Dyckman!
Author Ame Dyckman responded to a tweet we sent about her book, Horrible Bear. In addition, she generously sent our whole class little goodie bags with bookmarks, stickers, and a pin based on her books! Thank you so much, Ame, for being such a fantastic, responsive author!
Extreme Weather Research in the Library!
Mrs. Corazzata, our fabulous librarian, helped our class research extreme weather, such as tornadoes and blizzards, using books and online resources. The students recorded their facts and then shared them in front of a green screen! Check out their videos.
