MCAS Testing
Students must take and pass the ELA, Math, and Science MCAS in order to graduate from Watertown High School. These assessments are given on the computer during the school day to students in grades 9 (Science) and 10 (ELA, Math). With the testing season upon us, we encourage students to :
- ensure that their Chromebook is up to date (restart the Chromebook nightly)
- locate their Chromebook charger
- contact Tech Services if they are having any issues with their Chromebook (a key doesn't work, it won't turn on, etc.)
On March 17, all 9th and 10th graders will participate in an Infrastructure Trial during an extended Advisory. During this time, students will have an opportunity to practice using the TestNav program and answering MCAS test questions.
The MCAS testing dates for the remainder of the year are:
- March 17 - MCAS Infrastructure Trial for Grades 9 and 10 (during an extended Advisory)
- March 28 & 29 - Grade 10 ELA MCAS (students in grades 9, 11, and 12 should report to school at 11:30 AM)
- May 16 & 17 - Grade 10 Math MCAS (students in grades 9, 11, and 12 should report to school at 11:30 AM on May 16 only)
- June 6 & 7 - Grade 9 Science MCAS (some grade 10 students will also test)
