Comparing features and uses of phones

The iPhone 5

The iPhone 5 is the most recent smartphone from Apple. This amazing piece of technology allows owners to do a range of things including, take HD photos, download apps, search the internet and to communicate through email, MMS and SSM.

Other great features include:

  • Faster graphics
  • 4 inch Retina display
  • 8-megapixel iSight and panorama camera
  • 8 hours of talk time
  • Longer battery life
  • A6 chip
  • Ultra-fast wireless
  • Enhanced HD video recording
  • Touch Screen
  • Siri
  • GPS
  • Bluetooth 4
  • 3G
  • Wi-fi

Comparing SmartPhones

If you compare the iphone 5 to another phone you would be able to see a significant difference. For example the Samsung Galaxy S3 is another smartphone like the iphone, and they are quite often compared against each other.

The Samsung phone offers owners to download apps, communicate with people and take photos, all similar to the iphone. However, the Samsung Galaxy S3 does not have access to the Apple store or to itunes therefore the phone is under a disadvantage as the Apple store is highly commended.

The Samsung galaxy is also bigger and heavier which can be seen as a downside to this smartphone. Features of the Samsung phone include:

  • Smart Stay
  • Direct Call
  • S-beam
  • Pop up play
  • Bluetooth
  • 3G
  • Wi-Fi
  • Weighs 133g
  • Size 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6mm
  • 8 megapixel camera
  • Touchscreen

Both phones have features on them that the other phone doesn't, like Siri and Smart Stay. Having each phone company developing different features is good because they can use one another's ideas and develop them into something bigger and greater in the future.

In conclusion, either phone is good, but depending on what you are looking for in a phone it will always affect your preferences.
