Holidays Around the World
We spent our week traveling the world to learn about traditions in a few other countries. We started out on Monday discussing some holiday traditions we have when we celebrate Christmas as well as other traditions special to individual families. Then, we needed to pack our bags and prepare for our adventure. We created a suitcase, passport, and boarding pass to travel the world. We also looked at the globe and kept track of our journeys on a map. We found Woodridge and then discussed our town, state, country and continent. When we were finally prepared to travel we boarded the plane and took off to Holland! We also traveled to Israel, Mexico, China, and Germany! Our favorite part of each trip was creating a souvenir to help remember some of the traditions from the countries we visited!
Math
We are wrapping up our Counting 0-20 and Teen Numbers Units! We continued practice writing teen numbers and counting objects. We have a much better understanding of place value. This has helped us learn that we do not need to memorize how to write each number. Instead, if we understand the value of the number, we can figure out how to write it and understand how it relates to other numbers.
Holiday Party
Thank you to all of the amazing parent volunteers! We had an amazing time!
