What Supplies Does My Child Need and What is the Fee For?

One of the biggest questions we get on the secondary campus is what supplies does my child need and what is the fee for?

On the Secondary Campus, the Activity Fee covers the class shirt, field trips, family Olympics and standardized test fees (PSAT for 11th grade students) and only covers initial start up supplies in the classrooms, so paper, basic writing utensils, construction paper, activity items for the classes (cotton balls, Popsicle sticks, etc...) which is why it is less than the Elementary Supply/Activity fee. It does not cover folders, crayons, map pencils, rulers, protractors, binders, etc.. that would be more individualized for a couple reasons: one, we want to allow the students to have some freedom in the writing utensils they like or the binders, folders and spirals they like; two, because there is such a wide variety of classes that each student could take (advanced classes, different electives) that it would be impossible to make a list that would cover all the different combinations.

If there is anything specific supply that your child needs for a class, he/she will find out the first week of school. They will not need anything that teachers can't provide that first week of school unless specific instructions have already been given out (like in the AP classes).
