LPS TIGER TALK
LPS Weekly Newsletter ~ 1/6/2023
Message From The Principal
Dear LPS Families,
I hope 2023 is off to a smooth start for your family. It was great having our Tigers back and continuing our work together.
This week, we revisited our lunch groups to look at expected behaviors. We reviewed the things we do to show Care, Respect, and Responsibility at lunch as part of our Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) model. Our students didn't miss a beat and were easily able to jump back in with our established routines and procedures.
I ended my week helping cover some lunch recess groups due to staff illness and a lack of available substitutes. Covering recess is a great excuse to spend some quality "down" time with kids. We are blessed to have the opportunity to work with outstanding students. Thanks for sharing them with us!
Sincerely,
Kevin Fancher

Kindness Club Update
Our next LPS Kindness Club project will be collecting the aluminum tabs from your soda (and other) cans for the Cincinnati Ronald McDonald House. They earn money for each pound of pop tabs and typically earn more than $20,000 per year to help support their families and to help fund other projects. We will be collecting pop tabs throughout both January and February, until February 24th. Please put the tabs in a baggie and send them in whenever you have them...the more we can deliver to The Ronald McDonald House, the more families we can help. Thank you!
100th Day Of School Food Drive Challenge
LES and LPS are partnering up to fill the shelves at the LIFE Food Pantry. The LIFE Food Pantry helps families in need right here in Loveland. Their shelves are especially low after the holidays. We'd like to challenge each classroom to bring in 100 food items by the 100th day of school. If we reach our goal of each classroom bringing in 100 items, we will collect 5,100 food items!! This will fall around the beginning of February. We will take ANY UNEXPIRED canned goods, or any other non-perishables like rice, pasta, condiments, and boxed staples (like Hamburger Helper or macaroni and cheese). Please contact Patsy Schlesselman at schlespa@lovelandschools.org if you have any questions. Click here to learn more about the LIFE Food Pantry.
