BHS One Act Play Retreat
BHS One Act Play students reported to the high school this past weekend for twelve hours of intensive rehearsal over two days to prep for the upcoming season. At the end of the day on Saturday, they were the special guests at The New Buddy Holly Band's concert, leading the crowd in the Twist and the Swim at the end of the show. Ms. Huber said, "They were so precious, and I received many wonderful compliments from the older generation on how special it was to have Bandera students there to share in their own teenage nostalgia." Good luck on your season, BHS!

It all comes full circle in BHS Food Processing!
For the past two weeks the food processing class learned about poultry production: breaking down whole chicken carcasses, conducting a cost analysis of poultry products, and learning how to properly vacuum seal and store the meat. The students got some great hands on application of the concepts! They will be selling their chicken, as well, to learn how to evaluate appropriate mark up vs. at cost value. In addition, they explored proper internal cooking temps and tasted their delicious chicken!
These are all skills that would be valuable in any food production career or even in a home setting.

Informational Presentation for Secondary Parents
On February 4, 2020, the principals from Bandera High School and Bandera Middle School will host a parent information session at Bandera Middle School at 6:30 pm. However, we know that our parents are busy and not always able to attend every school event and parent night. Therefore, we have developed a webpage to address an “anticipated list of most commonly asked questions.” Click HERE to access the page.
