Principal's Message

Dear Terra Linda Families,

What a fantastic first week! We have welcomed almost all of our students (a few kindergarteners have their first day on Monday), and everyone seems to be enjoying being back at school! I hope the stories you are hearing at home are positive and joyful!

We have a few reminders in the articles below. Thank you for helping make the start of school successful!

With Appreciation,

Tips for families and educators as students return to school.

Backpack Food Program

Please take a moment to fill out the ParentSquare form letting us know if you want to participate in our Backpack Food Program or not.

Saint Vincent DePaul is once again offering the Backpack Food Program to any student at Terra Linda who is in need of food on weekends. The Backpack Food Program will provide child friendly foods free of charge on most Fridays during the school year.

Any child enrolled at Terra Linda is eligible to participate. Please consider your family's economic status and determine if this program would help your child(ren).

Breakfast and Lunch at School

Breakfast and lunch are free to all students each day.

If students bring their own lunch or want a second milk, they must pay for the milk. Milk alone is not free. Money can be deposited into student accounts online through SchoolCafe.

Wear Terra Linda Gear on Fridays!

All staff and students are invited to wear Terra Linda gear or Terra Linda colors (blue and yellow) on Fridays. Join us in showing school spirit!

Donor's Choose Project

Consider supporting our Student Success Coach's project, Future Zen Den. Mrs. Henning is excited to gather more resources to support all of our students at school!

Club K After School Zone

Club K will be operating again at Terra Linda after school. If you're interested in registering, please go to their website for more information: www.clubkafterschool.com

They do not yet have enough students interested in morning care. If you're interested, please fill out the ParentSquare form that we sent out today. We will take all names of interested families and share with Club K. If we can get morning care started, you would then need to register with Club K.

Morning Care (if it is offered) would be available from 6:45am to 8:15am on school days. Cost for morning care would depend on the number of days needed.

ParentSquare for School Communication This Year

The Beaverton School District is now using the ParentSquare platform for district, school and teacher communications, primarily with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent/guardian, using their preferred email address and phone number. Download the app or log into the ParentSquare web portal. For more information, please visit the BSD ParentSquare webpage.

Be sure to customize your settings to match your preferences! You can choose to receive messages as texts, emails, and/or in the app. To update preferences, click on your name in the upper right corner, choose "my account" then "Customize my Settings" on the far right.
