Bright Spots

Junior running back Sheehan finished the season with 174 carries totaling 854 yards, good for 4.9 yards per carry. Sheehan also had 45 receiving yards, brining his total yards from scrimmage to 999 yards, just short of 1,000. Sheehan averaged 111 yards from scrimmage per game. Sheehan added 5 total touchdowns for the Gators.

Sophomore quarterback Nolan got some action late in the season with the varsity team, even throwing his first career varsity touchdown pass.

Graduating senior defensive lineman Andrae was recognized as one of the best defensive lineman in the conference.

Low Point

In week 4, CLS lost to cross-town rival Crystal Lake Central for the first time almost 15 years.

What’s Next?

Several graduating seniors will look to continue their football careers at the college level. Most notably is offensive lineman Gardeck who is coming off of a severe injury that caused him to miss most of the season.

The Gators lose a lot of big men in the trenches, but bring back a lot of skill players. The 2015-2016 seniors will also have some high-upside defenders and went 6-2 at the sophomore level in 2013.

Change of Scenery

Perhaps the biggest change for the Gators won’t be personnel at all. A local judge has ruled that CLS must tear down their 2-year old stadium bleachers, stating that they are too large and infringe the right of adjacent homeowners.
