YOU put the "P" in PTO!

Getting involved in your child's education is an experience to remember! Whether it's volunteering at an event, helping at school during the day, or helping with things from home, your time and assistance are what puts the "P" in PTO! Our mission is to support and enrich the experience of our staff & students, but we operate solely on volunteers. Many hands make light work, and we happen to also have a lot of fun doing it! In this day and age of a multitude of commitments, we value any time you can offer in any way that you are able. Your kids will think it's pretty cool too! We hope that you will consider lending a hand to make the 2020-2021 school year amazing!

Gertrude Hawk Candy Sales... COMING JANUARY 22ND!

The Gertrude Hawk Candy sale is our biggest fundraiser for this year! Packets with information about the sale, as well a product catalog, will come home with your student(s) on January 22nd. The sale will run until February 19th, and products can be picked up at school on March 25th (pick-up date is pending). Wildcat Remote student will be contacted by your child's teacher regarding packet pick-up.


All profits from the sale go back to our students to fund things such as assemblies, t-shirts, memory books, student activities and much, much more. We need your help to make this year’s candy sale our best ever! Again this year, you will be able to place online orders as part of the candy sale. The information packet will have specific details about how to register as a seller and publicize the candy sale with friends and family through email, Facebook, and other online outlets. Online orders must be paid for with a credit card, and customers have the option of shipping online orders to their homes (for an additional charge) or shipping them to the school (for free).


We will have some great prizes for our top candy sellers. In addition, all students with sales over $50 will be entered into a raffle to win a special prize. A LITTLE INFO ABOUT GERTRUDE HAWK...



Gertrude Hawk Chocolates, based in Scranton, PA, has an eighty-year history of distributing fine quality chocolates and a strong foundation in fundraising. The company was started by Gertrude Hawk who made hand-dipped chocolates in the kitchen of her home in 1936 to help support her family. The spring brochure offers many delicious chocolates and candies in a variety of sizes and many Easter products.

LSE/DT MASKS & LSE SOCKS AVAILABLE! **LIMITED QUANTITY!**

We have a handful of masks still available for anyone that is interested! Masks have adjustable earloops as well as a sewn-in nosewire, and fit both adults and kids comfortably!


LSE socks come in several different sizes (please refer to size chart in listings for proper sizing). They are super soft and cozy and are great for those Wildcat Wednesdays!


Masks & Socks are perfect for Wildcat Wednesday (or any day, really)! Please click the button below if you'd like to order (limited inventory is based on what we currently have available.) We have these items in hand, and will send them home with your child - OR - you may pick them up from school once your order is filled. Please be sure to choose your preferred delivery method when you check-out.

Last day to place orders before the holidays to be sent home with your child or picked up at the office is Friday, 12/18. Items will still be available for purchase after that date, but we cannot guarantee that they will get to you before the break.

SCHOOL/CLASS DIRECTORY (You must enter your child for her/him to be included!)

Some of you have already registered on the website and signed your child(ren) up for the Class DIrectory... thank you! While we will not be using PTBOard as our information website this year, we will still utilize it for our LSE Classroom Directory!


First, you will need to register on the website. Once you are registered, you can add your student(s) and are able to change/correct your information at any time throughout the year. If you would like your child to be included in this resource, you will need to follow the steps below.


Once you've set up your account, please follow these steps:


1) From the Home Page, click on the tab on the left that says "Student Directory"

2) Click on "My Student"

3) Click on the GREEN "Add a Student" button on the right

4) Select your student's grade and teacher, and add his/her information

5) Click "Show in Directory", save and you're all set!


Once you've added each child, they will show up on the site and you can then download by class, grade or the whole school. If any of your contact information changes at any time, you simply go back into your account on the website and update your information.


Please remember that for privacy issues, all members who join hang out in the "pending" file until we have verified that they are a parent of a student that is registered at LSE. If your file doesn't show up immediately, it's b/c it's in the "pending" file and we will approve it as soon as we've confirmed that you do belong to LSE :) The safety of our families is very important to us.


Additionally, the Directory is optional. Should you choose not to include your students' information, that is totally fine as well! We hope that those who chose to utilize this tool find it an easy way to connect with friends and LSE families!

Register account (2020-21school code WYY38J), click "Student Directory", "My Student", green "Add a Student" & enter your child's info (do this for each child) You must check the box "Show in Directory" in order for the student to appear!

CLEARANCES

Just a friendly reminder that many PTO activities and events require volunteers to have their clearances on file with the district. Information and instructions for completing these requirements can be found here: https://www.dallastown.net/cms/one.aspx?portalId=159539&pageId=551089


While volunteers are not currently permitted in the buildings, we are hopeful that this will change by the end of the school year. Taking care of this part now will allow you to help with school needs/events as soon as we are given the "green light"!


We very much appreciate all of the parents who have already submitted their clearances. Without parent volunteers, the PTO couldn't do all the great things we do for our school!

We have switched to an online-based newsletter format, which will allow you to easily access direct links to information and is more user-friendly. We hope that you find this streamlined format useful and easy to navigate.


In an effort to keep our content more relative, we are no longer including our Treasurer's Report. If you would like to view the Treasurer's Report for a specific month, please email ptoatlse@gmail.com and we will be happy to share that with you (pending approval at our bi-monthly PTO Meetings)
