Pence Families-
This is certainly a busy time for all of us. Our faculty and staff are working extremely hard to
provide our students with the best possible education while we are in the middle of a COVID surge in our community. You are working hard in your jobs and as a family to support your child’s growth and development as a student and as an individual. We thank you for this partnership.
Our students are heavily influenced by the role of social media as it affects their social-emotional state and their relationships among peers. I wanted to take this opportunity to share a couple of articles (below) as it relates to this very topic. I encourage you to take some time to read each of these articles and discuss them with your student(s).
Additionally, you may be aware that there are monthly TikTok challenges encouraging students to act inappropriately at school, film the acts, and then post them on TikTok. I am including a link to an article explaining these challenges for each month. As you will see, many of these acts are quite serious in nature. I am asking that you also take some time to discuss these with your student(s) as we work cooperatively together to ensure that we are encouraging kindness, respect, and citizenship in our school community.
Sincerely-
John Childs

You must have a completed VHSL physical to participate.
7th Grade Basketball begins Oct 11th!
Students are welcome to stay after school on HOME game days. Admission for students is $2. Concessions are available. Masks must be worn properly at all times.
Students will need to choose a game to attend - either boys or girls - and remain in the assigned gym throughout the game. Students will not be permitted to travel from the front gym to the back gym during games.
Pick Up and Drop Off Reminders
We greatly appreciate you following all pick up and drop off guidelines. Both are going well but here are a few reminders:
Drop off begins at 8:00am - no sooner.
Drop off and pick up are to occur in front of the school in the drop off and pick up line - not in a surrounding neighborhoods or any other area around the school building. The bus parking lot is not a place to drop off or pick up students.
Thank you again for adhering to these guidelines as they help us ensure students are safe and supervised as they arrive and depart from school.
