In Greekmythology.com “Athena’s Birth” Zeus is the most significant god in Greek Mythology that portrays an image that is fearful and horrendous but yet very powerful.
Summarize
In “Athena’s Birth” Zeus’ first child was a girl but his second was to be a boy. Zeus knew these child would over throw him like what had happened to his grandfather. He got very upset about this. Then he saw Metis again Zeus flattened her and swallowed her. This would be what he did to his upcoming children.

Explaination
This shows just how much power Zeus has to be able do something like that. It also shows how afraid he is of being overpowered. Zeus is so afraid of losing this great power he has that he is willing to do anything and everything to keep that power.
