PE, Enrichment & Independent Study
Some questions have arisen about the time when students are not in ELA, Math, Science, or Social Studies classes. Every student schedule shows a PE/Health, Enrichment, and Independent Study period. These are asynchronous times that students do not have to log in for attendance. Students are scheduled into a PE/Health class and an Enrichment class. Teachers have sent them invitations for their Google Classroom where students will go to get the assignments that they need to complete. Teachers have also listed the schedule of when they will be hosting Zoom calls for the students in their classes. We encourage students to use these links to interact with their teachers and get answers to any questions they may have regarding their assignments.
Independent study time is an opportunity for students to work on their assignments or practice skills for class. Here is a link to a document with a number of suggestions for your student to do during this time.

Keeping Safe in School
As cases are on the rise in the state we are working hard to keep our students and staff safe and in school.
Here are some reminders of ways to make that happen:
Completing the Student Self-Certification Form honestly and staying home when you are sick or have been exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID-19 within the past 14 days.
Washing hands regularly and using hand sanitizer.
Wearing face masks appropriately.
Covering your coughs and sneezes
Maintaining 6-foot physical distancing whenever possible.
Being mindful of our activity outside of school and the potential impact it may have in school.
If students have to quarantine, the school will provide those students with meaningful ways to get help with their assignments.
