Issues at Bristol Elementary School
Please see the message below from Mr. Bill Senti, Principal of Bristol Elementary.
We have recently been struggling to keep our play areas at Bristol clean and safe for our young learners and their families. We are asking for support from parents and caregivers who may have older children who visit our campus outside of school hours.
As a reminder, the Webster Groves School District Playground Public Use Rules are as follows:
All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Playground equipment is intended for use by children ages 5-12.
Playground is closed from dusk to dawn and during school hours.
No littering or graffiti.
Weapons, tobacco, alcohol and drugs are strictly prohibited.
Violators may be prosecuted or be subject to school disciplinary action.
We appreciate your support as we work to keep our community safe and clean.

Seeking 2023 Webster Groves Holiday House Tour hosts!
It’s time for the major fundraiser from Hixson PTO each year. It funds a majority of our PTO budget, and when our parents engage in some way (big or small), it makes a huge difference in its success.
The 31st Annual Webster Groves Holiday House Tour
Sunday, December 3
2-6pm all around the Webster Area
Tickets are $35 each
Proceeds from this event go to fund big things like:
Teacher grants and projects in our classrooms
Student activities like field trips and socials/mixers
Events like Field Day
Important equipment purchases like new books and classroom supplies via the annual book fair
How Can You Help?
With as much or as little effort that fits your life. See time commitments below. And thanks in advance!
Put Your Home on the Tour: This is (obviously) key to making the event a success. And we’re still looking for a few homes for this year. If you have a home of any size and style or if you have a neighbor that enjoys decorating for the holidays and/or has a unique home, think about showcasing your home or encouraging your neighbor to consider it. Email hixsonmiddlepto@gmail.com if you’d like more info.
Become a Sponsor: Super easy! Sign your company up as an event sponsor. Available levels are included at the bottom of this email and more information can also be found here. Email davelisap@gmail.com to indicate interest or more info. (Time Commitment: like buying a coffee)
Volunteer Your Time: We need individuals to help with the following roles:
2 sponsorship committee members to solicit prospective sponsors (Time Commitment: about 10 hours total)
5 more house captains to stay at one of the houses for the entire event (1:30-6 pm on December 3) to manage the flow at the front door, other volunteers, and student musicians (Time Commitment: about 5-6 hours)
General Volunteers for the Day of the Tour: We have a SignUp Genius set up where you can grab a shift and sign up for an hour or two of volunteers and in exchange, you’ll get one free ticket to the house tour.
Email hixsonmiddlepto@gmail.com if you are interested in any of these roles.
Join the Boutique as a Vendor: During the tour, we will have an outdoor boutique where tour attendees can get food and drink and shop local goods from and by our community members. If you want to have a table at the boutique for your shop or business, you can register here. The boutique will tentatively run from 2-7pm on the day of the tour in an outdoor location.
Save the Date and plan to attend the event when tickets go on sale later this month! NEW! If you want to support the teachers and students but a house tour isn’t your thing, there will be a Donate Only button on the ticket page when it goes live and any amount is appreciated.
Follow us on our Facebook page to like and share posts to help get the word out. (Time Commitment: as quick as a click)
