Room 22 Rock Stars

News for the Week of January 18

Important Message from Mr. Manfre

Dear Families of Third, Fourth, and Fifth Graders:

During second semester, students will participate in a recorder unit of study

during music class. Recorders provide students an opportunity to use the

note and rhythm reading skills they have been learning, as well as develop

the cooperative team-building skills necessary to play in an ensemble.

Although it is not necessary for students to purchase a recorder of their own,

it is recommended so that they have an opportunity to practice between

lessons. If you are interested in purchasing a recorder, please ask for a

soprano recorder with Baroque/English fingering. Two places in town that

have appropriate recorders are:

-Fenton’s Open Book – 629.8000

-A Joyful Noise Music Studio – 373.4030

If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 591.1524.

Thank you for supporting music in our schools.
