Calendar Updates
Career Readiness Indicators
As a mandate from the state to ensure Career Readiness, all 3rd, 4th and 5th graders are required to provide two Career Artifacts by MAY 11th.
Please view the Office Mix video that explains our work related to the requirements of the Career Readiness Indicators. ALL elementary teachers should view the video, but it is especially important for teachers of grades 3-5! Career Activities have already been developed for you.

From the OTL: (Office of Teaching and Learning)
Thank you for your active participation in the Next Practices Summit.
It was a great day of learning together. We hope you were inspired to try something new in your classroom based on your sessions that day.
We have added a new page on the BASD OTL Pop Up PD website with information from some of the Next Practices Summit sessions.
You can access the BASD OTL Pop Up PD website at this link: https://sites.google.com/student.boyertownasd.org/popuppd/home
Click on the 2018 Next Practices Summit tab at the top of the website. The main page includes all of the resources A.J. Juliani shared with us during his keynote and breakout sessions.
If you hover over the tab, you will see a dropdown menu with many sessions listed. Click on those links to access the resources.
Special thanks to all of our presenters!
Please share these reminders with your students:
- Students should not be trading Pokemon or other cards on the buses or in school.
- Smart Watches were a popular Christmas gift. Students may wear them if they are not accessing cell phone features such as calling and texting and as long as they are not a distraction from learning. If students are distracted by their watch, then they will be expected to put it away in their schoolbag. Repeated violations will be treated the same as cell phones - watches will be kept in the office until the end of the day. Next step would be that parents have to come pick it up. Please note: Students may NOT have Smart Watches in their possession during PSSAs.
Due to the number and variety of allergies in the building, students are reminded that there should be no eating on school buses. Also, just a reminder that we are a latex-aware building. Thank you for your understanding and support in helping us maintain a safe environment for our students.
