Masks!
The majority of our students are following mask expectations each day and all day. As a reminder it is the district expectation that all students wear masks appropriately (covering their nose and mouth) while inside the school building and on buses.
Please emphasize the importance of this expectation. Teachers and teams will notify the parents of any students who continuously need to be reminded. Please follow up with your child if you are called. We need to maintain safe and consistent practices and avoid defiance issues.
DROP OFF/PICK UP on Chester Road!
ALL students who are not getting on a bus at dismissal will walk up to Chester Road for pick up.
LATE ARRIVALS AND EARLY DISMISSALS
If you come and they have not handed in a note that morning you will need ID for pick up and often have to wait for us to call for your child from class.
LATE ARRIVALS: The children should come to the main entrance and buzz in. Your child will go to the guidance office to get a late pass for class.
Parent Portal Apps Guide and Information
Parent Portal: has all parent apps in one location (Found on the District Website > For Families > Parent Portal and apps) https://pa50000490.schoolwires.net/parentportals
Registration Gateway - Back To School Portal: (this closes 9/30 / we asked for parents to complete by 9/24)
This app is for families to complete at the beginning of every school year. You will be directed to update student information and electronically sign district forms. This is a great replacement of the pages and pages of forms sent home with students in the past.
This username/password was mailed by the IT department the week before school started. If there was an email in the system, an email with this information (with username/password) was sent to Guardian 1 on 9/8/21. (Guardian 1 in the system is the only one that can complete this).
Home Access Center (HAC):
This app is for parents to view attendance, student's schedule, report cards and/or bus information. Parents should use their last year's password. If you do not remember your password you will need to email Mrs. West at awest@basdschools.org to reset and give you a temporary password. Once you log-in with your temporary password, you will be prompted to change your password and create challenge questions. In the future if you forget, you can just click "forgot password". Unfortunately, challenge questions need to be set up before HAC will recognize the account.
Schoology:
This app is for parents to view student assignments, missed work, grades, email teachers, etc. Parents, you can use your last year's password. If you do not remember their password, you will just click "Forgot your password". The system will email you a temporary password to the email address we have in eSchool. If you do not remember your username, you can email Mrs. West at awest@basdschools.org for that information. Username is the same for all systems.
BASD App
This app can be downloaded to your phone. Messages and information will be shared using this tool. Everything from events to delays.
Need Technology Support?
First, our amazing technology wizard, Mrs. Laura Martin, has put together a FANTASTIC site for you to go to when you or your child needs help. Visit this resource whenever you have a question regarding technology for you or your child!
Second, you can always go to our website to find tools and connection to help should something go wrong with your child's chrome book.
Lastly, our district has a webpage dedicated to everything "tech" you can check it out here:

Charger Pride Expectations and Rewards!
We will continue to utilize our Charger Pride Expectations to recognize and reward positive behaviors and academic achievement. Our Charger Pride Expectations Program is a tiered reinforcement effort that focuses on acknowledging students for good behavior while being Prepared, being Respectful, showing Integrity, showing Determination, and displaying Enthusiasm. Our tiered system has allowed students the opportunity to win numerous prizes, brunches, lunch rewards, trips, and activities. Donations of prizes to help promote this program are welcomed whenever possible. We sincerely thank the many parents, community members, and local businesses who have supported our efforts in this program. Please feel free to contact the school if you would be willing to help us in this endeavor.

This year we will be continuing with a similar theme as we return to what will hopefully be a school year similar to what we have always been accustomed to.
