NORSE AREA LEARNING CENTER
General information - preparing for distance learning
Dear Families,
I hope this correspondence finds you all well, healthy, and observing the various directives we’ve been provided to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
All of us are being challenged to rise to the occasion. Our lives have changed temporarily, and we are all thinking and acting differently to protect ourselves and each other. It is heartwarming to see how our community is working together to support each other!
Over the next few days you will be receiving a variety of communications from the school district outlining how these changes will impact education for staff, students, and families. It is essential that you take the time to review these communications carefully as they will provide our direction moving forward.
Teachers, support staff, and administration have been working extremely hard to develop the best possible distance learning programming for our students. If and when the governor should direct us to commence with school again in its adjusted format we are ready to go! As we typically do when faced with adversity, we will work together to ensure all NBAHS students are provided with a high quality educational experience.
Communication is the essential component of our success through this period . We have, and will continue to provide you information via email, video, our website, and social media. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to communicate with us. We’re here for you.
Thank you for your patience, understanding and commitment to standing united in doing our collective best to take care of our kids.

Childcare Services
Childcare services, including transportation will be provided from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm for students of emergency workers, school staff and other essential workers as defined by Governor Walz’s Executive Order free of charge. In order to ensure the safety of the children and staff in the program, attending children's temperatures will be taken upon arrival and again at midday by school district nurses.
If a child in school district care is found to have a fever or be ill, parents/guardians will be contacted immediately and will be expected to pick up their children as soon as possible. Students will be immediately separated from other students while awaiting pick up.
If you have questions if you qualify or interested in learning more about access to School Age Care services please contact Youth Connections at 651-674-1029 or click here for more information.
