Happy Summer everyone! We hope you all are enjoying your break spending time with family and friends, getting outside and active, and resting and relaxing.


First, I would like to introduce myself as the new Principal of El Dorado. Some of you may know me formerly as Ms. Gemma (now Mrs. Estenson) and I have had the pleasure of spending the last 6 years as the Vice Principal and am very excited to continue our work and serving our wonderful community in the new role of Principal. I am looking forward to connecting and working as a team this year to meet and support the needs of your students. I am confident this will be a great year of learning and fun. We are eagerly awaiting our students on the first day of school.


As we are at the tail end of summer, we wanted to send out some information concerning our return to school in person on August 11th. Most importantly, we wanted to highlight what you all can do BEFORE walkthrough in preparation for the start of school and to make it even easier for you when we start to come back. The Office will resume normal hours of 8-3 starting on Monday, August 1st. If you have any immediate questions please email a staff member.


Below you will find several resources, links, and directions to support your student coming back to school on August 11th. There is a lot of information below, please be sure to read/click through it all to ensure you have all the necessary information. We are SUPER excited to welcome your students back for the 2022-23 school year! Have a wonderful last bit of summer!

WALKTHROUGH STEPS...

All necessary requirements for Walkthrough can be completed ahead of time online to help alleviate waiting/standing in line on our Walkthrough date. Textbooks and Chromebooks will all be distributed during the first couple of days of school. PE clothes will be available for purchase at Walk Through and can also be purchased through out online store ahead of time (see below for the link). School pictures will also be taken during the school day at a later date. If you are unable to complete the below requirements over the summer you will need to be sure to attend Walkthrough IN PERSON on Aug 4th or 5th. The following are requirements to complete the Walkthrough process:


Data Confirmation: All adults/guardians are required to confirm their students' information in AERIES (Homelink). This can be done by an adult logging into their Homelink Parent account. An email address and Homelink Verification Code (request here) are required in order to view your information. All necessary directions can be found below by clicking the appropriate "buttons". We suggest creating an account over the summer in preparation for the Data Confirmation which will available starting in August.


NO STUDENT WILL RECEIVE THEIR SCHEDULE UNTIL THEIR DATA IS CONFIRMED via HOMELINK, ONLINE, BY A PARENT/GUARDIAN. (*schedules will be viewable early for those who complete this process ahead of time)


Address Verification (6th Grade Students ONLY): families must provide the required documentation (found here) to verify their address with the office. Appointments can be made over the summer by clicking here.


NO STUDENT WILL RECEIVE THEIR SCHEDULE UNTIL THEIR ADDRESS IS VERIFIED w/ the APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTATION w/ our Registrar.


Student Immunizations must be on file at the school prior to students starting 7th grade at EDMS. (*notifications were sent out to families who do not have immunization records on file)


NO STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO START CLASSES WITHOUT THE REQUIRED IMMUNIZATIONS. [click here for more information]

Click Here to see PE clothes options and pricing. If you are new to EDMS (6th graders and new 7th and 8th graders), your first bundle of PE Shirt and Shorts will be free. NOTE: The same PE grade level colored shirts will be used for all 3 years.

6th Grade Address Verification Appointment

Click here to schedule an appointment with Ms. Annette to come in and verify your address. Be sure to read the description to see which documents are accepted. YOU MUST BRING ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS TO YOUR APPOINTMENT.
