Employment Recommendation Changes

We have made a few changes to the employment recommendation process. Available below is a tutorial with details.

Major changes to note:

  • You no longer need to collect the new hire's drivers license, social security number, or date of birth - HR will be handling this for you
  • You do need to begin including on the HR8 at least your top three finalists considered for the recommended position
  • For Support Staff recommendations, we would like a copy of the HR 12 (schedule of hours) so that our on-boarding experience runs more smoothly for the new hire

Plus...You may now complete all of these things online through Frontline!

Contract Timeline

April 22-24, 2019 Principals may come to HR to review and pick up contracts.

April 25, 2019 Certified and Administrative Contracts must be issued in sealed envelopes with cover letter

May 10, 2019 Contracts are due back (signed or unsigned)

Reminder of Support Staff Evaluation Deadlines

In accordance with District procedures, Annual Performance Reviews (APRs) for ALL Support Staff employees in your school or department should be completed by Tuesday, April 30, 2019. As our District moves toward a growth-based culture rooted in substantive feedback, these evaluations are our opportunity to provide support staff employees critical information regarding their performance. An email is being sent to principals and directors with a link to the forms, additional direction for completing the evaluations, and dates for a voluntary information session.

Evaluation Matrix- Wondering how to evaluate an employee??

Remember that all employees should have some form of an evaluation.
We do continue to update and add to our Evaluation Matrix. However, this should be a great starting point for all of your evaluation needs. If you have questions or if you see anything missing, please let us know.

Summer Institute- SAVE THE DATE

Our 3rd Annual Induction Teacher Leadership Institute will be held from August 5-8, 2019! We'll be at Meadow Glen Middle School from 8:00-4:00 each day, and this event is required for all induction teachers. Save the Date cards are going out to induction teachers as they are hired, but it would be super-helpful if you would let them know, too. This is a great week of learning for our induction teachers!

6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Interviews

If possible, plan for 3-4 administrators/teacher leaders to attend represent your school and stay for interviews.


We have a great team that will be joining us in HR as of July 1. We welcome the benefits department to our HR family! (Lynn Shealy is also a current member of the Benefits team but will be retiring before July. We will miss her!)
