Spooky Season is HERE!
October is here, and that means Halloween is approaching spooky fast! With Fall Break finally here, it is time for the students and staff here at Agua Fria to take a break. While you're relaxing, we hope you enjoy reading these stories!

Agua Fria students were looking forward to the homecoming dance for months. However, after a series of events, the dance was canceled before its scheduled end time and students were sent home early. While outside, a scene of panic and chaos ensued as a rumor spread that there was an armed person on campus.

The Owls Junior Varsity football team was hungry for another win, and it showed. The Agua Fria Junior Varsity football team played against Sunnyslope on Sept. 26 and the team pulled off a victory with a score of 20-8 and advanced to a 4-0 record.

Meet Bernadette Negron-Taylor
Bernadette Negron-Taylor is a freshman at Agua Fria High School. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona, on July 10, 2004. She attended Avondale Middle School. Her plan after high school is to get her undergraduate degree and go to medical school to become a dermatologist.

Arzoo Sultani is a 17-year-old-girl from Afghanistan who arrived here in the United States only two years ago. She is not only new to America but is also new to Agua Fria as she spent her sophomore year at Curtis High School in Phoenix. She really likes Arizona because it’s a safe place but would do anything to go back to Afghanistan where she left a lot of her friends and family.

Meet Ray Alade

Raheemat “Ray” Alade is a fellow student here at AFHS, going through the motions. She was born in Nigeria but has moved to many different countries throughout her life such as England and Canada. Her mother, a traveling doctor, moved around the globe, taking her family with her on her travels, eventually settling in Canada for a bit. There, Ray found her dream college, University of Toronto.
