Our Fundraiser - We are Goin' APE!
I just wanted to take a few minutes to explain all the prizes that your children may earn and may be talking about. :-)
Packets with directions went home on Tuesday, January 14. The last day is Jan. 29.
If students return 3 completed "reachout" postcards, they will receive their first little monkey. After that, for every 2 sales. they will get to pick another monkey to add to their lanyard.
There are a variety of monkeys that students can collect: the cool monkey, the football monkey, the clown monkey, the skateboard monkey, etc.
There are 5 special monkeys that students may pick. The one big change from last year is that all students may be eligible to ride the limo to Brusters by pulling the special "limo driver" monkey from the box. Students that sell more than 20 items will automatically get to go. This gives everyone at least a chance to ride the limo with me.
The other change is that there is more to sell this year. Besides for just delicious cookie dough, there are also catalogs with pizzas, cheesecake, soups, etc. along with kid-friendly magazines and books.
The one thing that hasn't changed is that the proceeds go toward technology, Kindles, tablets. laptops, and downloaded books. We are working toward 5 devices per classroom and this fundraiser should get us pretty close to that goal.
I appreciate the support.
Let the fun begin!
Data from the Georgia Parent Survey will be used to calculate the School Climate Star Rating within the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI)
The Georgia Parent Survey has 20 questions and it should take no more than 5 - 10 minutes to complete it.
They have extended this deadline until the end of February.

Thanks again for all of your support!

Coins for Kindles
In lieu of PTA's annual fall fundraiser, PTA has decided to raise money in a different (and hopefully easier) way this year.
If you've been to Lovin recently, you may have noticed a "wishing well" in our atrium. This is where students, teachers, and parents can drop their spare change whenever they come to school. Because students have "wished" for more Kindles, this money will go toward purchasing more of them for our Kindle Cafe'.
I think the pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters will add up in no time - and our students will get their wish!
Thank you so much for your support.
Dropping off students in the morning
For the safety of all of our children.......just a gentle reminder....
If your child does not ride a bus, we need you to use our car rider lane. It goes quickly, and it is monitored. Students can not be dropped off in the front and left unsupervised. Thanks!
