AMCMS Principal's Office
What is going on in the Principal's Office?
My Challenge to You
How does success look to you? How about for your students?
Most people think that people just "do something" and achieve success. Often you do not see the amount of time, work, and effort put into developing the knowledge and skills needed to achieve that success. A large part of that success process is to develop goals, make progress toward those goals, and reflect upon those goals throughout the entire process.
When we meet for the faculty learning session on Wednesday at 4:30 in the lecture hall you will have time to reflect upon your goals that you set at the start of the school year. To prepare for that time be sure to have a copy of your goals and a notebook to write your reflections.
Think. Achieve. Succeed.

Tech Tip of the Week
Are you making videos for your class or using other peoples videos? Would you like to take those to the next level? Check out EDpuzzle.
EDpuzzle empowers teachers to make any video your lesson. Crop a video, explain it with your own voice and embed quizzes at any time.
If you use videos in the classroom, EDpuzzle is a must have. Take any video from YouTube, Khan Academy, Learn Zillion, etc. make it perfect for your classroom and more engaging for your students. Make any video a true lesson by making it to the point, personal and effective, plus get all the data about your students so you know if they truly understand the lesson.
All this can be done with our FREE, easy to use tool in three simple steps.
Academic Tip of the Week
How do you manage wait time in your classroom? Do you utilize wait time when you are questioning students?
For effective wait time management remember to allow 3-5 seconds of wait time after asking a question and before calling on a student to allow all students time to process the question and generate responses.
SPED Tip of the Week
Click here for tips and reminders about SPED paperwork and instructional assistants
Please make sure you are completing paperwork correctly and on time!
Wellness Tip of the Week
Is there an app for that? Nurse Flater has found two cool apps for you to check out!
One is called Gluten Free. You can scan the item in the grocery store and it will tell you if there is gluten in the item.
The other app is Shop Well. Shop Well you can actually set your preferences (like if you are diabetic, have high blood pressure, allergic to peanuts, etc.). You can definitely personalize this app then scan your item and it will tell you if your product has what you don't want in it. Shop Well will also tell you the nutritional value in the items.
