Food Safety 101
Make sure to wash your hands for 20 seconds, make sure to wash between your fingers with warm soapy water. Do not cross contaminate your foods, keeps meats away from all other types of food. Do not cut meats and veggies on the same cutting board.Refrigerate foods at the correct temperature. Always use a sharp knife to cut never use a dull knife. A sharp knife is always safer than a dull knife. Always pass a knife by the handle never the blade.

Salmonella results in more hospitalizations and deaths than any other bacteria that is found in food. 365 million in direct medical costs annually. Antibiotic resistance is a food borne bacteria that is a growing food safety challenge that can be made worse by the overuse of antibiotics in humans also in food animals.
