WHO WILL AND WILL NOT NEED TO ATTEND REGISTRATION?

Any student who is "NEW TO CPSB" (coming from a private school, coming from an out-of-state school, etc...) WILL have to attend registration and meet with a counselor to create a schedule. You will be required to obtain a permit from the Child Welfare and Attendance Office prior to showing up for registration. Any and all questions concerning permits can be answered by calling their office at (337) 217-4230.

If you are a returning student to Barbe or you have rolled up automatically from a feeder school, you will only have to pay your fees online and WILL NOT come on campus for registration. There will not be a face-to-face registration for any returning student. Schedules will be accessible to students through the Student Progress Center (where you check your grades) on August 2nd and students will be given a hard copy of their schedule on the first day of school.

DAILY UNIFORM SHIRTS

As mentioned in the previous newsletter, the deadline was July 10th to order daily approved uniform shirts from Outfitters Ink and have them guaranteed to be delivered to your home prior to the start of school. These shirts are OPTIONAL and the school board approved button-up, collared style polo shirts are still able to be worn.

You can still order these shirts online but may need to have the polo style uniform shirts available for your student to wear when school begins.

You can click on the "Daily Uniform Shirt Order Link" blue button below and it will lead you directly to the order link.

NO P.E. UNIFORMS WILL BE REQUIRED THIS SCHOOL YEAR

Due to the amount of post-hurricane construction that will be occurring in our gyms this year, students will NOT be dressing out in PE uniforms/gym suits this school year for all non-athletic PE classes. Parents will NOT need to purchase a PE uniform/gym suit if your student will be scheduled in a non-athletic PE hour.
